間違った順序で物事を行う、とんちんかんな事をする。

【例文】

We haven’t thought of the purpose on this plan yet but  our boss talks about  sales figures.  He’s putting the cart before the horse!

この計画の目的についてまだ考えてないが上司は売り上げの事を考えている。順序が違ってないか？
